GO GATORS (and war eagle)!
around here, we are so excited that college football has started! even baby jack is geared up…

but, we have noticed that we still need to buy jack some game day outfits for his first games- we don’t have any 0-3 month florida or auburn outfits, yet. hopefully one day, jack will choose to cheer for the gators, just like his mommy and big sister ,

and then we won’t have to pacify his daddy with game day outfit switches!
here’s wishing for another gator dominated football season!
oriental thunder
i have this picture in my flickr photostream, but over the course of this week I realized that this auburn phenom deserved a post in my blog.
his stage name is oriental thunder…he is a stripper in auburn and everyone in the town knows who he is. yeah, i was shocked too…
i told him that our 30th birthdays were this year and asked if he ever travelled to do parties. after learning that we live in atlanta, he said, “well, gas is really expensive, but i could do it for $120. i love to travel.” i then asked how much he would charge for the party, assuming that the $120 was for gas…he repeated his fee was $120—are you kidding me?! it would be SO worth it…i am very tempted.
he did later divulge to us that his annual salary is $12,000…ummm maybe you should try charging more for your services???!!! he also told us that he is paying $25 a month to his mail-order bride…is this guy for real??!
SEC football…there’s nothing like it!
yesterday, we drove down to the loveliest village on the plains to enjoy a saturday of SEC football- auburn vs. tennessee. we had so much fun- tailgating with my cousins, blair and jac, watching auburn pull off a victory against the vols, and being thankful that we didn’t stay home to watch the gator’s painful loss to ole miss (i did dvr the game and watch it in its entirety this morning!…and mourned all over again).
for those of you who have never had the pleasure of experiencing a game on a SEC college campus, you must. no other sporting events even compare to the massive crowds, the elaborate tailgates, and the passion of the fans. we must have walked past over 50 tailgating tents with HD tvs showing the florida/ole miss game, gourmet food spreads, people playing corn hole, and, of course, drinks flowing.
blair, thanks for getting us the tickets…we had a great fall saturday spent like true southerners!
war damn eagle and GO GATORS!
